Close encounter between US fighter jet and commercial plane in Syrian airspace

A US F-15 fighter jet had a close encounter with an Airbus A310, flown by the private Mahan Air. The impact was avoided by an emergency maneuver that was performed. Iran is demanding that the US be held accountable since the packed commercial plane, in Syrian airspace, was flying along a commercial route according to aviation protocols and was threatened by the country’s fighter jets.
