The Korean brand Hyundai appointed a former NASA aeronautics researcher for their established ‘Urban Air Mobility Division’ that aims to develop the core technologies for flying cars. The renowned engineer Shin Jai-won said that establishing Hyundai as a leading force in urban air mobility is what this division aims to do. The flying sector is apparently expected to grow into a market worth one-and-a-half trillion U.S. dollars by the year 2040.
