Gas canister incendiary bombs destroy cars in Athens – Culprits at large

No car seems to be safe in Greece anymore against gas canister incendiary bombs. Very often improvised incendiary devices comprising cooking gas canister turn people’s cars into a pile of junk, especially under the cover of darkness. Six cars were torched yesterday by means of such makeshift bombs yesterday leaving the despaired car-owners helpless and poorer. The Police usually cannot find the culprits who may be criminal groups executing contracts of revenge and intimidation. Foreigners who visit Greece can contact the Hellenic Security Advisors for help and advice regarding security measures.
