South Korea requested international cooperation on the issue of the radioactive water from Japan’s crippled nuclear power plant at Fukushima. Reports state that Japan could possibly be planning to discharge about 1 million tons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean.The South Korean government is determined to persuade the international community to find the best possible way to dispose of the water so that it does not burden future generations.
