Patrols of Russian-Turkish troops have begun in Syria

An announcement was made by the Russian Ministry of Defense that stated “the Russian-Turkish coordination center decided to shorten the route distance … to avoid any incident that could result in civilian suffering.” The Russian-Turkish joint missions were a part of a package of various de-escalation measures in Idlib that both Moscow and Ankara agreed on due to the Syrian Army offensive in the area, that was targeting various extremist and militant groups and managed to infuriate Turkey to the point were a full-blown war could possibly erupt.
