An effective homeland defense system protects the US against N.Korea’s missiles

The U.S. Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that the US is well protected against North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missiles due to their strong and very effective homeland defense system. The interceptors in Alaska and the Vandenberg Air Base can handle the threat, however the U.S. missile defense capabilities need to be modernized to respond to evolving global threats.
