Several military drills named ‘Centre 2019’ took place at the Ashuluk testing range in Astrakhan region.
Apparently more than 80 aerial targets were intercepted such as strike drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, as stated by Russia’s Ministry of Defense. Quite a few air defense systems were included in the drills such as the S-300 Favorit, S-400 Triumph air defence systems, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft system, MiG-31, Su-27 and Su-35S fighter jets. Apart from Russia seven more nations will participate in the exercises (China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) which are meant to develop and strengthen the military cooperation between Russia and its allies and will require big numbers of troops, pieces of military equipment and air crafts.
