Arrests and tear gas at a protest in Paris

A peaceful climate march was disrupted by masked demonstrators and representatives of the “gilet jaunes” movement that started November 17 in response to the fuel prices. Police officers of numbers exceeding the 7,500 were deployed to stop the violence and they made several arrests. Groups wearing black clothing also appeared that seemed to have some sort of association with the block anarchist movement and they set fire to bins and motorbikes, threw paint on a bank and also formed barricades. Police resulted in the use of tear gas.
