Use of tear gas by the French police on G7 protesters in Bayonne

The protest in Bayonne resulted in the brief use of water cannons and tear gas by the police in an attempt to disperse the protesters. Some people threw stones and other objects at the police and several of them were detained. Four police officers suffered light wounds after protesters fired a home-made mortar near the anti-G7 counter-summit.
