Possible testing of new N.Korean ballistic missile capable submarine
Posted by Arms Control Center in INTERNATIONAL SECURITY, MISSILES, NEWS & POLITICS, tags: missile tests, missiles, North Korea, submarineSeveral reports mentioned the possibility of North Korea building a new ballistic missile capable submarine and maybe making preparations to test a missile. A research project named Beyond Parallel, confirmed these reports after analyzing satellite photos of Sinpo South Shipyard. The photos show support vessels and a crane that could be deployed to tow a barge out to sea for a submarine-launched test. However, the analysts says it’s unclear when or if a test could happen therefore citing a lack of conclusive evidence right now.
