Turkey’s government has said a suspect involved in the March attack on the ruling AK Party headquarters in Ankara has been arrested by Greek coastguards (early this month). Four people were detained when a rubber boat carrying heavy guns and explosives was intercepted off the Greek island of Chios. Two more were arrested on land. The Hellenic Security Advisors have repeatedly claimed that such methods of smuggling weapons into Greece may have been employed by Libyans and Egyptians during and after the hostilities in their countries. Wherever the Coast Guard and the Police cannot manage private security services should be employed to secure the borders.
