Two aircraft carriers were joined by a B-52 Stratofortress bomber in an exercise in the South China Sea as stated by the Pacific Air Forces. Air force pilots also flew B-1, B-2 and other B-52 bombers over Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Baltimore during Independence Day celebrations. While that was happening the B-52 was flying with strike fighters and electronic warfare jets from aircraft carriers USS Nimitz and USS Ronald Reagan over the Pacific.
