Police assaulted by petrol bombs in Northern Ireland

The police vehicles were targets of petrol bombs and missiles as officers investigated said device in Northern Ireland. The improvised explosive device was disabled by army bomb disposal experts on Monday morning and the the operation involved 80 officers and explosive detection dogs. This came after the uncovering of a mortar device in Strabane, about 24 km south of Derry/Londonderry.
