The US is prepared to attack Iran as stated by the President himself

US President Donald Trump stated that they have been following the Iranian commander’s steps very closely and that they have managed to eliminate a great threat by killing him and stopping the imminent attack. He also stated that the US is ready to attack Iran during a meeting that took place in the White House with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
